Jane L. Simon

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Jane L. Simon, 86, who died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, John Curtis Simon of Kaplan; one daughter, Kim Simon of Kaplan; three grandchildren, Christopher Smith of Avondale, Danielle Catalanotto of Metairie, and Cassandra Catalanotto of Belle Chasse; one sister, Lula Landry of Superior, NE; one brother, Lersey Landry of Kaplan; and six great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jules Landry and the former Elba Sonnier; and one brother, Murphy Landry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
