Jeremy "Wolf" Roussel

Kaplan—Funeral services officiated by Deacon William “Billy” Vincent will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Jeremy “Wolf” Roussel, 53, who died Thursday, March 28, 2024 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

“Wolf” was an avid sportsman and woodworker. He spent countless hours at his camp on the Boston Canal where he enjoyed casting a line. When he was not fishing on the Boston, he also enjoyed quality time at his hunting lease. He was an amazing cook who loved spending time entertaining family and friends. “Wolf” was a loving husband, father, son and uncle will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of eight years, Dawn Allison Roussel of Kaplan; two sons, Aarron Michael Gaud of Kaplan and Jarrett Tylar Gaud of Kaplan; his mother, Judy Nell Roussel of Kaplan; sister-in-law, Heather Lynn Ferriolo and her husband, James of Bohemia, NY; one uncle, Nathan Benoit of Lafayette; two aunts, Wanda Luquette of Abbeville and Mona Broussard and her husband, Lorphea of Gueydan; one niece, Lexi Nicole LeBlanc; one nephew, Cooper Jude Romero; one godchild, Dylan Luquette; and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Charles Roussel; one sister, Nichole Roussel Romero; paternal grandparents, Galvey Patin and Theresa Ann Melancon Roussel; maternal grandparent, Eddie and Felecia Richard; two uncles, Ronald Richard and his wife, Chyrel and David Luquette; and two aunts, Maudrey Roussel Benoit and baby Helen Roussel.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, April  1, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 5:00 PM.
