Jeromy worked as a Port Engineer with Omega Protein for 23 years. He always had a talent for fixing things. At any given time, you could find him outside working on a 4-wheeler, lawn mower or just about anything that needed to be fixed. But when Jeromy wasn't working, he was enjoying his greatest passions - his family and the outdoors. He was married to his loving wife, Wanda for 32 years. This life brought them 3 beautiful children, a son-in-law and 4 beautiful grandchildren. To them, he was "Poppa" and a great one he was. His 2 brothers, Chad and Toby, were his best friends. Hunting, fishing and being out at the camp was their bond. If you gave these guys a boat, and a gun or a fishing pole they would be in their happy place. He also shared this passion with son-in-law, Colbert and grandson, Camden, or "Lil Man" as he called him. Family gatherings with his mom, siblings and numerous nieces and nephews always brought out his beautiful smile. His life was one of kindness, love and service. It was a life lived to the fullest.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Wanda Monceaux Stelly of Cow Island; his son, Jeromy Gerard Stelly, Jr. of Cow Island; his two daughters, Anita Stelly Guidry and her husband, Colbert of Kaplan and Madison Stelly of Cow Island; his mother, Laura LeMaire Stelly of Abbeville; his two sisters, Christy Stelly Guidry and her husband, Tommy of Leroy and Laurisa Stelly Nugier and her husband, Ned of Maurice; his two brothers, Chad Stelly and his wife, Chantina of Forked Island and Toby Stelly and his wife, Danielle of Kaplan; his four grandchildren, Ellie, Camden, Jacob and Ryli Guidry; and his parents-in-law, Elmo Monceaux and Coudray Monceaux of Kaplan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Randal Stelly; his sister, Ann Stelly; his maternal grandparents, May Rose and Robert "T-Joe" LeMaire; and his paternal grandparents, Clifford Stelly and Della Rung Stelly.
