Jim David

Cow Island—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Jim David, 56, who died Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at Oschner Acadia General Hospital.  He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services.

He is survived by his two sons, Jedd David of Abbeville and Jacob David of Delcambre; his three daughters, Natachia Stelly and her husband, Adlar of Forked Island, Jenna Herpin and her husband, Lance of Kaplan and McKenzie David of Cow Island;  his grandchildren, Emma Stelly, Bailey Stelly, Adalyn Stelly and Jane Catherine Herpin; his parents, Lester James David and Barbara L. David of Cow Island; his sister, Kim Verret and her husband, Greg of Cow Island; and his brothers, Hal David and his wife, Angie of Cow Island and Todd David and his wife, Vickie of Cow Island.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kennedy Stelly; his paternal grandparents, Otis and Euland David; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Enez LeMaire; and his first cousin, Brandon David.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 12:30 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
