Jimmie Dale Choate

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Jimmie Dale Choate, 84, who passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

He will be laid to rest at Bancker Cemetery with Deacon William Vincent officiating the services. Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Corey M. Choate, Brady E. Choate, Marlon W. Choate, Rudy Stelly, Brannon Trahan and Corey M. Choate, Jr.

Jimmie is survived by his sons, Corey M. Choate, Brady E. Choate (Jennifer) and Marlon W. Choate (Pamela); his six grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hiram and Mary Baudoin Choate; his wife of fifty-six years Maudrey Mae Stelly Choate; his daughter, Lisa Choate; his sisters, Faye Dore and Sharon Bernard; and his half-brother Gary Choate.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 10:30 AM.
