Joan Lormand Guidry

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Joan Lormand Guidry, 67, who died Sunday, March 14, 2021 at Abbeville General Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Matt Hebert officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Robbie Primeaux and his wife, Angie of Tiki Island, TX and Ryan Primeaux and his wife, Layla of Kaplan; her two daughters, Jessica Lyons of Kaplan and Kim Fontenot and her husband, Jeff of Maurice; her eight grandchildren; and her sister, Patricia Serice of Pearland, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy Lormand, Sr. and the former Velma Broussard; her husband, Rayford Guidry; her sister, Mary Pope; and her brother, Percy Lormand, Jr.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, March 16, 2021 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, March 17, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 10:15 AM.
