John "Boy-Boy" Demette

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, January 20, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of John "Boy-Boy" Demette, 64, who died Thursday, January 16, 2020 at his residence, with Deacon William "Billy" Vincent officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gayle Demette of Kaplan; his sister, Deanna D. Broussard and her husband, Edmar of Kaplan; his five godchildren, Tina Hebert of Lafayette, Jessica Trahan Gaspard of Kaplan, Marvin Heath, Jr. of Gueydan, April Boutte Bourque of Jennings, and Crystal Hebert of New Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Demette and the former Mercedes Primeaux; and his three sisters, Betty D. Dummond, Jeanne D. Breaux, and Dorothy Heath.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM: Monday January 20, 2020  from  until 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM.
