Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of John Dalfrey Perro, 86, who died Friday, November 4, 2022. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Irudayasamy officiating the services.
“Charlie” as he was affectionately known showed his love to everyone. He was well known and loved socializing in the community and surrounding cities. After working for Slemco for 31 years, he retired and worked for the city of Kaplan. He was also an usher at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church.
Mourning his passing and cherishing many beautiful memories of his life are his wife, Sylvia Clemet Perro; his children, Rita (George), Gaylyn (Ronald), Ann Mary (BeBe), Timothy, Stephanie (Blake) and Corlette; his 17 grandchildren; his 31 great grandchildren; his three great-great grandchildren; his godchild, Hayward Senegal; his special friend, Yolanda Caldwell; a host of nieces and nephews; his brother, Jay Foreman; his sisters, Doris Thomas, Clay Ethel Perro, Jessie Moore, Keshia Meaux and Sash Meaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred Perro and the former Edna Senegal; his daughter, Marisa; his granddaughter, Raven; his sisters, Emma Jean Cuffee and Virgie Mouton; his stepmother, Virgie Jacob Perro; and his brother, Edward Mouton.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 910 N. Frederick Ave., on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM with a rosary being prayed at 10:00 AM.
