John Floyd Sistrunk

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of John Floyd Sistrunk, 52, who died Monday, August 22, 2022 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his two sons, Cory Sistrunk of Lake Charles and Rodney Sistrunk of Kaplan; his daughter, Candidissima Mire and her wife, Lyndsey of Eunice; his two grandchildren, Gracie Rose Stoutes and Zyla Ann Mire; his four sisters, Sharla Cope of Houston, TX, Peggy Ganus of Chico, TX, Sharon Mouton of Kaplan and Patty Collins of Splendora, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, JL Sistrunk and Annie Rose Sistrunk; his son, Allen Sistrunk; his sister, Penny Hargrave; and his two brothers, Ivan Gaspard and Cecil Sistrunk.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
