John Clifton Francis

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of John Clifton Francis, 89, who died Friday, October 2, 2020 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Annabell Francis of Maurice; his two loving daughters, Gaynell and her husband, Paul Kimble of Lafayette and Edith Marie Francis and her life partner, Renard DeMangeaux of Broussard; his three grandchildren, Jardin and her husband, Harold Register III of Youngsville, Jennifer Kimble of Houston, TX, and Briona Kimble of Lafayette; his three great grandchildren, Kamryn, Carter and Koryn Register; his two sisters-in-law, Susan Francis of Kaplan and Rose Mouton of New Orleans; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives; and one son

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gretney Francis and the former Marcelie Minnick; his four sisters, Lorena Thibeaux, Rosanna Jackson, Mary Troy, and Beatrice Bias; and his two brothers, Paul Francis and Clarence Francis.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 910 N. Frederick Ave., on Saturday, October 17, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at 12:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.

In observance of the current mandate, John's family asks everyone in attendance to please wear a mask and practice social distancing.
