Joseph "Charlie" Benoit, Jr.

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December  8, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Joseph "Charlie" Benoit, Jr., 63, who died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Lafayette General Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at the Gueydan Cemetery with Pastor Troy Duhon officiating the services.

He is survived by his son, Joseph "Chuckie" Benoit III of Gueydan; one daughter, Amy  M. Benoit of Meaux; seven sisters, Mary Hargrave, Barbara Clark, Lena Trahan, Peola LeBlanc, Missy Benoit, Jenny LaPorte, and Theresa Smith; two brothers, Jeffery Benoit and Mitchel Benoit; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine "Katie" Benoit; his parents, Joseph "Ayo" Benoit, Sr. and the former Velgin Cormier; and two sisters, Rose Leleaux and Delores Trisler.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Monday, December  7, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, December  8, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the services at 2:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to assist with the funeral arrangements.
