Joseph Oran Luquette

December 19, 1941 — January 25, 2018

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Joseph Oran Luquette, 76, who died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at his residence. He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Nicholas DuPre' officiating the services.

He is survived by his son, Oran Christopher Luquette and his wife, Tina of Kaplan; two daughters, Melissa and her husband, Ronald Broussard of Carencro and Kimberly and her husband, Jared Yashar of Lafayette; two sisters, Patricia Dean and Priscella Luquette; three brothers, Roy Luquette, Lawrence Luquette, and Albert Luquette, Jr.; eight grandchildren, Dane Broussard and his wife, Betty, Charisse Luquette, Cameron Luquette and his wife, Gene, Blake Luquette and his wife, Megan, Katelyn Broussard, Sophia Luquette, Carolyn Luquette, and Lily Yashar; and one great grandchild, Kelcie Broussard.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Primeaux Luquette; his parents, Albert Luquette and the former Ena LaPointe; and three siblings, Oris Luquette, Ridley Luquette, and Theresa Peltier.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, January 29, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 1:40 PM.
