Joseph "Red" J. Duhon

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March  6, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joseph J. “Red” Duhon, 78, who died Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.  He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Shirley Duhon of Nunez; his three sons, Lebon "L J" Duhon and his wife, Nina of Dequincy, Bryan Joseph Duhon of Nunez and Kevin J. Lege and his wife, Shawn of Kaplan; his daughter, Vicki Smith and her husband, Eddie of Fields; his grandchildren, Eddie Smith, Jr. and his wife, Cantrell, Kim Bolton and her husband, Casey, Justin Duhon, Blake Young, Whitney POtter and her husband, Payton, Lanie Boullion and her husband, Slade and Ty Lege; and his great grandchildren, Raylon Potter, Faith Duhon, Caden Bolton, Ethan Bolton, Laney Smith and Lettie Smith.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Trudy Lynn Duhon Williams; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elix Duhon; and his brother, Leo Duhon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Saturday, March  6, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 2:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
