Joseph Trahan

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joseph L. Trahan, 83, who died Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at Abshire Cemetery with Deacon Tom Sommers officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Ruby Simon Trahan of Laplace; his two daughters, Cathy and her husband, Jason Melancon of Gramercy and Charlotte and her husband, Ronald Louque of Paulina; his sister, Norma Louise Leleux of Crowley; his brother, Douglas Martin Trahan of Abbeville; his six grandchildren; and his seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ronald Dale Trahan; his sister, Rita Borel; and his parents, Allen Trahan and the former Agnes Faulk.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, February 28, 2020 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM; Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 2:00 PM.
