Josephine Mullins Primeaux

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Josephine Primeaux, 83, who died Saturday, February 2, 2019 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Broussard Cemetery with Reverend Kyle Coates officiating the services.

Mrs. Primeaux enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She also loved family gathering and cooking; she was not only the rock, but the matriarch of her family. She was the last sibling of her generation and dearly missed her home in Kentucky.

She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Francis Percy Primeaux; her son, Jimmy M. Primeaux of Kaplan; two daughters, Loretta P. Hebert and her husband, Chris R. Hebert of Kaplan and Hilda P. Bourque and her husband, Bryan W. Bourque of Cow Island; six grandchildren, Christine Hebert Wilson, Daphane Hebert Istre, Aaron Jay Hebert, Tierney E. Morris, Kaisha E. Bourque, and Tyler W. Bourque; 12 great grandchildren; two step-great grandchilren; and two great grandchildem with one expected this week;

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mattison Mullins and the former Sarah Price; her daughter, Reva Gay Daugherty; her great grandchildren; and numerous brothers and sisters.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM; Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 8:00 AM until the time of the service.
