Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Joyce F. Stelly, 73, who died Friday, April 7, 2023 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at LeMaire Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Frederick, Randy Gaspard, Grant Mire, Baine Mire, Kade Mire and Hunter Mire. Honorary pallbearers will be Drake Mire and Jobie Mire.

She is survived by her two sons, Anthony Mire and his wife, Cynthia of Forked Island and Lee Mire and his significant other, Kristi LeMaire of Abbeville; her daughter, Anesia "Neah" Abshire and her husband, Chad of Abbeville; her seven grandchildren, Drake, Grant, Jobie, Mallory, Hunter, Baine and Kade; her three great grandchildren, Cohen, Dawson and Cooper; her sister, Ella Hargrave of Kaplan; and her four brothers, Douglas Frederick of Forked Island, Donald Frederick of Forked Island, Davis Frederick of Forked Island and Danny Frederick of Forked Island.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garchin Stelly, Jr.; her parents, Renis and Irene Frederick; her sister, Linda Faye Gaspard; and her brother, Deano Frederick.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, April 10, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM.
