Karen Chevalier Guidry

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Karen Chevalier Guidry, 65, who passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at Ochsner Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon Bryan Istre officiating the services.

She is survived by her fiancé of 22 years, Theonise Vincent, Jr. of Kaplan; one son, Ryan Guidry and his companion, Tammy of Kaplan; one daughter, Nicole Mouton and her husband, Dante of Kaplan; her mother, Gladys Sonnier of Kaplan; one sister, Shirley Herpin of Kaplan; one brother, Jimmie Guidry and his companion, Kitty of Abbeville; two stepchildren, Joshua Vincent and his fiancée, Jessica of Kaplan and Cristy Ross and her husband, Brandon of Maurice; nine grandchildren, Rylie, Jax and Gemma Guidry of Kaplan, Blair Mouton of Kaplan, Jillian and Sophia Vincent of Kaplan and Alexander, Conner and Zachary Ross of Maurice; four nieces; and four nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Norris Chevalier; her maternal grandparents, Alvin Landry, Sr. and the former Leila Meaux; her paternal grandparents, August Chevalier and the former Elvina Campbell; and her brothers-in-law, Luddy Herpin, and Kenneth Vincent.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, October 12, 2022 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 10:00 AM.
