Beebee spent a fulfilling career as a valued member of the Army Corps of Engineers at the Freshwater Bayou Locks. His dedication to his work was surpassed only by the genuine affection he had for his job and coworkers.

Beyond his professional life, Beebee had a passion for the great outdoors. As an avid trapper and fisherman, he found joy spending time in nature. In addition to fishing and trapping, he also loved spending his time outdoors gardening. He was also a wonderful cook and loved to cook for those he loved.

Beebee also selflessly served the community as a volunteer firefighter at the Pecan Island Fire Department. Those fortunate enough to have known him will always remember well his infectious laugh and his pranks that brought such joy to everyone. His mischievous spirit and playful nature made him a beloved friend, and if you were fortunate enough to be counted among his friends, you knew without a doubt that you were loved and cherished.

Family was very important to Beebee, and he showered his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews with great love, forever leaving a mark on the hearts of this younger generation.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Stephenie Shay Nunez of Pecan Island; one son, Karl John Nunez and his wife, Nancy, of Lafayette; three sisters, Deborah Mire of Charenton, Ella Mae Little of Grand Chenier, and Karla Nunez of Pecan Island; and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pershing Nunez and the former Goldie Copell; and one brother, Anthony "Pazoo" Nunez.
