Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, August 23, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life Laura Belle “Rose” LeBlanc (née Meaux), 92, passed away on August 20, 2024, at Maison du Monde in Abbeville, Louisiana. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery with Deacon William Vincent officiating the services.

Born on June 8, 1932 in Meaux, Louisiana, she was a lifelong resident of Abbeville and a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Leroy.

A graduate of Meaux High School, her life was a testament to the value of family, hard work, and faithfulness. Her legacy will continue to live on through the many lives she touched with her kindness and her commitment to her family.

Laura dedicated many years of her professional life as a bookkeeper for Justin’s Furniture Store and West Brothers Department Store, before serving as a tax preparer at H&R Block. Her attention to detail and dedication to her work were appreciated by all who worked alongside her.

Laura is survived by her daughter, Laura Lynn LeBlanc Peré and her husband, Douglas Peré; her grandson, Brandon Douglas Peré and his wife, Mindy Parker Peré; great-grandsons, Jackson Douglas Peré and Hayes Parker Peré; her brother, Thomas L. Meaux and his wife, Connie Meaux of Florida; sister-in-law, Betty Lou LeBlanc Shetters of Florida; and many nieces, nephews, and godchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 70 years, Laodice Martin LeBlanc; her parents, Wilson and Laura Mae Stelly Meaux; her brother, Wiley P. Meaux; and her sister, Anna Lou Meaux Breaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 10:00 AM until time of services. A rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.

The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Maison du Monde and Hope Hospice, and beloved family members who took such good care to visit and pray with Laura.
