Lavonne H. Breaux

Gueydan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 9, 2023 at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lavonne Breaux, 82, who died Friday, October 6, 2023 at Encore Health Care & Rehab.  She will be laid to rest at Gueydan Cemetery with Reverend Corey Campeaux officiating the services.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Breaux (Jennifer) of Gueydan, and Randall Breaux (Debby) of Gueydan; one daughter, Margie Smith (Junior) of Gueydan; two sisters, Deanna Broussard of Gueydan, and Hilda Sonnier of Gueydan; one brother, Ernest "Bozo" Hebert of Gueydan; and eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huland Breaux; one daughter, Rachel Breaux; and her parents, Ernest Hebert, and the former Lucille Harrington.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Sunday, October 8, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 PM; Monday, October 9, 2023 from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM when the procession departs for the church.
