Lena Marie Hargrave

Abbeville—Graveside services will be held honoring the life of Lena Marie Hargrave, 81, who died Saturday, April 4, 2020 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Suire Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Shane LeBlanc, Nick Bourque, Chris Hargrave, Brandon Hargrave, Shawn Hargrave, and Jared Abshire. Honorary pallbearer will be Caymon Hargrave.

Lena will be best remembered for her kindness and her great love for God and her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons, Kenneth Hargrave and his wife, Mona of Abbeville and Chris Hargrave and his wife, Kathy of Erath; three daughters, Darlene and her husband, Alvin LeBlanc of Lafayette, Cynthia and her husband, Brent Boutte of Broussard, and Tammy Hargrave of Broussard; two sisters, Hazel Marceaux of Meaux and Linda Schexnider of Abbeville; 12 grandchildren, Shaun and Scott Hargrave, Shane and David LeBlanc, Megan Bourque, April Bourque, Danny and Christian Boutte, Jared and Jonathan Abshire, Amber Depena, and Sierra Hargrave and Brandon Hargrave; 27 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilson Hargrave; one son, David Hargrave; her parents, Lucien Schexnider and the former Noemie Suire; one brother, Noah Schexnider; two sisters, Luvenia Mire and Hilda Saltzman; and one granddaughter, Shannon Montangue.
