Leola Dartez

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Leola Dartez, 89, who died Friday, January 11, 2019 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Dartez and his wife, Jacqueline of Kaplan; two brothers, Dudley Meaux of Crowley and Carrol Meaux of Gramercy, LA; three grandchildren, Joshua Dartez and his wife, Savannah, Jamie and her husband, John Menard, and Skyler and her husband, Kerry Julien; and eight great grandchildren, Zander and Zayden Dartez, Londyn, Maverick, and Cayden Menard, Noah, Karter, and Ace Julien.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Presley Dartez; her parents, Clomere Meaux and the former Leonie Abshire; and three brothers, Royce Meaux, Paul Douglas Meaux, and Michael Meaux.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, January 14, 2019 from 12:00 PM until 10:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, January 15, 2019 from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM when the procession departs for the church.
