Leonard Smith

Gueydan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 26, 2021 at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan honoring the life of Leonard Smith, 76, who died Monday, February 22, 2021 at Oschner Acadia General Hospital.  He will be laid to rest at Istre Cemetery with Pastor Joseph Boutin officiating the services.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Diana Gale Smith of Gueydan; his son, Randy Smith and his wife Liz of Vidor, TX; his two daughters, Michelle Ardoin and her husband, Ron of Winnfield and Kimberly Helmick and her husband, Robert of Lafayette; his stepchildren, Chad Guidry and his wife, Carolyn of Rayne, Chrystal Cormier and her husband, Buddy of  Gueydan and Neil Guidry of Kaplan; his 20 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; his two sisters, Roxanne Murry and her husband, Donald of Iowa and Elaine Stackhouse  and her husband, James of Jennings; and his brother, LeeRoy Smith of Mermentau Cove.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Tiffanie Smith; his parents, John Smith and Clouya Smith; his two brothers, Melvyn Smith and Ravis Smith; and his granddaughter, KaRein Benoit.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Gueydan, 311 Fourth St., on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 10:00 PM; Friday, February 26, 2021 from 8:00 AM until the time of the services at 11:00 AM.
