It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lerdy Gaspard Hebert, cherished wife, mother. daughter, sister, granny, and Tauntie, who entered eternal rest on January 25, 2025 at the age of 71. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 27, 2025 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Cow Island. Visitation will take place at St. Anne Catholic Church on Monday from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with a rosary prayed at 12:30 PM. Burial will follow at St Anne Cemetery. Born on October 09, 1953, Lerdy grew up with a passion for nurturing others, a gift she would carry throughout her life. She met and married the love of her life, Steve Hebert, and together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work on their farm. She was a steadfast partner who kept the household running and made every corner of their home warm and welcoming. A gifted cook at heart, Lerdy could often be found in her kitchen, where she expressed her love through food. Her dishes became the centerpieces of countless family gatherings. Her greatest pride and joy were her family. Lerdy was a loving mother, devoted grandmother, and cherished great grandmother. Her wisdom and encouragement were the cornerstone of her family's lives. Lerdy was a woman of quiet strength, compassion, and a deep love for simple pleasure of life. She loved the beach.....Her legacy is one of love, perseverance, and generosity. A life well- lived and well-loved. She is survived by her husband, Steve Hebert of Cow Island; her daughter, Hollie Suire (Ben) of Cow Island; two sons, Chanse Hebert and Tyler Hebert both of Cow Island; her four grandchildren, Bailey Hargrave (Lane), Collin Suire, Aubrie Hebert and Luke Hebert; her three great grandchildren, Adalynn, Rilynn and Rhett Hargrave; her mother, Norma Gaspard of Forked Island; and her four sisters, Peggy St. Romain (Chris) of Cow Island, Mamie Babineaux (Gary), Charlotte Dartez (Francis) of Kaplan and Menette LaPointe (Neil) of Kingsland, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her father, Wilbert Gaspard; Paternal grandparents, Felix and Marguerite Gaspard; and her maternal grandparents, Whitney and Eumia Gaspard. While her absence leaves a void that can never be filled, her memory and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Rest peacefully Lerdy. Your love has been the foundation of our lives and your memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of all who were blessed to know you.
