Leroy "Bill" "Bilou" Istre

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of LeRoy Istre, 74, who died Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.  He will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Russell Istre of Mire; his two daughters,  Christine and her husband, Kent Cormier of Mire and Belinda and her husband, Scotty Roy of Mire; his two sisters, Bertha Istre of Indian Bayou and Barbara I. Bergeron of Mire; his half brother, David Mire of Lafayette; his five grandchildren, Brady Cormier, Jacob Cormier, Joshua Roy, Kayla Roy, and Alex Roy; one great grandchild, Korbin Cormier; his four step grandchildren, Hunter Richard, Alyssa Richard, Dylan Richard, and Brebin Guidroz.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex Istre and the former Camellia Abshire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 10:00 AM until the time of the services at 2:00 PM.
