Linda, daughter of Jess and Bertha Clark Perrin Sr., was born on December 5, 1947. Her early years were marked by a profound love for the outdoors. Whether she was enjoying a day at the beach, taking trips to the deer camp, or simply walking outside to check on her chickens, Linda found such joy in nature.
Linda was a woman of many talents and passions. Her love for cooking was evident in her kitchen, where she delighted in baking pecan pies for Christmas and creating her famous bunny cakes for each grandchild at Easter. Through her culinary skills, she shared her love and warmth with family and friends.
Her work as a seamstress was another testament to her creativity and dedication. Up until a few years ago, Linda could always be found at her sewing machine, crafting beautiful pieces with care and precision. Her legacy as a skilled seamstress will be remembered fondly by all who were touched by her creations.
Linda's faith and loyalty to her friends were central to her life. Her generosity and creativity were evident in every act of kindness she extended to those around her. Her favorite song, "Go Rest High On That Mountain" by Vince Gill, resonated deeply with her spirit and faith.
Linda’s family would like to offer a special thank you to her nurses, Isabella, Josh, Demarco, Jennifer, and Claire; to her hospice nurse Erika, who offered many prayers and always put a smile on her face; and to the chaplain, Paul.
Linda leaves behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love, creativity, and faith that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children, Chad Roy (Arlene), Thad Roy (Susan), Christina Ontiveros (Joel), and Stacy Breaux; her grandchildren, Blake Freeland (Megan), Jared Guidry, Lane Guidry (Rachel), Blaine Guidry (Tori), Shawn Roy, Kyle Roy (Suri), Ashley Rivet (Matt), Matthew Roy, Brooke Muehr (Patrick), Caitlin Guidry (Jacob), and Cody Duhon (Raven); her great grandchildren, Jalen, Baden, Caleb, Marie, Braylin, Abraham, Danielle, Loretta, Bennett, Saige, Talyn, Tinley, Balie, Ryder, Piper, JP, William, Zelie, and Lucas; a brother, Jess (Jan) Perrin; numerous nephews and nieces; and her cherished best friend, Shirley Lege Duhon. She would be welcoming two new grandsons before the end of the year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jess and Bertha Perrin, Sr.; her beloved sister, Dorothy Perrin Suire; her husband, Maurice Breaux; her grandson, Thomas (Tommy) Roy; her great grandsons, Camden James Guidry, and Samuel Muehr.
