Linda Vincent Stevens

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, September 29, 2023 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Linda Vincent Stevens, 73, who died Friday, September 22, 2023 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

Linda cherished the time spent with her family and friends, she will be truly missed. She loved being outdoors where she enjoyed weekends camping and fishing. She also had a passion for flowers and working in her vegetable garden.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Howard J. Stevens of Kaplan; two sons, Travis L. Stevens and his wife, Kim of Kaplan and Blake V. Stevens and his wife, Jamie of Maurice; her daughter, Charisse and her husband, Marcus Cormier of Kaplan; two sisters, Charlene Mire of Kaplan and Janet Landry of Kaplan; eight grandchildren, Brock Broussard, Bailey Bridges, Skie Cormier, Marcus Cormier, Jr., Taylor Stevens, Maci Stevens, Kali Duhon and Kaine Stevens; four great grandchildren, Bodhi Broussard, Harper Cormier, Heidi Bridges and Kimber Bridges; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Maxie Vincent and the former Lilly Mae Abshire.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, September 28, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume Friday, September 29, 2023 from 8:00 AM until 1:45 PM when the procession departs for the church. A rosary will be prayed Friday, September 29, 2023 at 10:00 AM.

The family would like to thank the Intensive Care Unit at Our Lady of Lourdes and Hospice of Acadiana for their care and compassion.
