Lloyd Wayne Duhon

October 14, 1952 — December 21, 2019

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 23, 2019 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Lloyd Wayne Duhon, 67, who died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at The Carpenter House of St. Joseph Hospice.

He will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. David Hebert officiating the services. Pallbearers will be Rene’ Duhon, Cori Duhon, Logan Duhon, Brodee Landry, Jean Duhon, Freddie Duhon, Lane Duhon and Aiden Duhon. Honorary pallbearer will be Baylor Quebedeaux.

Lloyd was a parishioner and usher at St. John’s Catholic Church in Henry, LA. He was a loving father, son, brother grandfather and friend. He spent most of his life farming but was also an avid welder. He enjoyed spending time with this family, grandchildren and great grandson. His grandchildren were always the light of his life. He was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Vernice Blanchard Duhon; two children, Cori Duhon and his wife Melissa Duhon of Ringling, OK and Rene' Duhon and his wife Andre of Abbeville, LA; five siblings; Jean Duhon, Mary Duhon Hebert, Freddie Duhon, Paul Duhon and J.B. Duhon; five grandchildren, Allison Duhon Landry, McKenzie Duhon, Logan Duhon, Lane Duhon and Aiden Duhon; and a great grandchild, Baylor Quebedeaux.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Bradley Duhon; and grandparents, John Otis Duhon and Nita C. Duhon.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, December 23, 2019 from 9:00 AM until time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Turkewitz and the staffs of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and The Carpenter House of St. Joseph’s Hospice for the care they gave in their time of need.
