Lou Bertha Babineaux Mire

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Lou Bertha Babineaux Mire, 93, who died Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Robert Mire and his wife, Bertha and Mark Mire and his fiancée, Allyson Trahan; her daughter, Barbara Hebert and her husband, Roy Neal; her five grandchildren, Jennifer Mire, Kelly Mire, Scott Mire, Camille Hebert and Catherine H. Delcambre; her two great grandchildren, Emily R. Dartez and Theo Mire; and her brother, Sigmund Babineaux and his wife, Yvonne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaston Babineaux and the former Avie Broussard; her husband of 52 years, Galvey L. Mire; her two sisters, Florine B. LeBlanc and Faye Broussard; and her two brothers, Preston J. Babineaux and Dallas L. Babineaux.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mrs. Lou can be made to Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church building fund.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church, 910 N. Frederick Ave., on Wednesday, July 27, 2022 from 1:30 PM until the time of the services at 3:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 2:15 PM.
