Louella Gaspard

August 14, 1933 — September 20, 2018

Cow Island—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Louella Gaspard, 85, who died Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Immaculate Conception Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Danny L. Gaspard and his wife, Beatrice of Forked Island and Roddy Dean Gaspard and his wife, Debbie of Meaux; two daughters, June Abshire of Forked Island and Lisa and her husband, Farrell Guillotte of Kaplan; one sister, Shirley Rung of Kaplan; ten grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Olephide Gaspard; her parents, Rene Stelly and the former Edmae Dartez; one son-in-law, Johnny Abshire; and two brothers, Carnes and Floyd Stelly.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Saturday, September 22, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
