Lunia Greene

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lunia Greene, 93, who died Friday, December 7, 2018 at Gueydan Memorial Guest Home. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, George Marion Greene III and his wife, Dorothy Trahan of Abbeville and Marcus Jude Greene and his wife, Tina Dupuis of Kaplan; two daughters, Angelle Greene and her husband, Jesse O'Bryan, Jr. of Maurice and Lana Joan Greene of Maurice; one half-sister, Theresa Broussard of Lafayette; and six grandchildren, George Marion Greene IV, Todd O'Bryan of Abbeville, Talia O'Bryan Fitch of Key West, FL, Jeremy Greene of Kaplan, Jarod Greene of Kaplan, and Marcus Greene II of Kaplan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Marion Greene, Jr.; her parents, Adlair Broussard and the former Angelle Saltzman; and two brothers, Dalson Broussard and Adlair Broussard, Jr.

The family would like to thank Gueydan Memorial Guest Home for the wonderful care they gave Ms. Greene over the last 21 years, and Lamm Hospice for their kind and compassionate care during her last days.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 10:45 AM.
