Lydia Vaughn Broussard

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Lydia Vaughn Broussard, 70, who died Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Roland Vaughn officiating the services.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul Daniel Broussard of Kaplan; her two sons, Jeremy Paul Broussard and his wife, Alexa Marie of Erath and James Philip Broussard and his wife, Mia of Kaplan; her daughter, Delia B. Girouard and her husband, Craig of Erath; her seven grandchildren, Aiden Joseph Broussard, Magdelyn Marie Broussard, Grant Michael Landry, Malaya Grace Broussard, Hudson James Broussard, Caroline  Ann Girouard and David Paul Girouard; and her two brothers, Daly Vaughn and his wife, Beverly of Lacassine and Reverend Roland Vaughn of Lacassine.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Lynward Vaughn; and her parents, Adam Vaughn, Jr. and the former Roberta Derouen.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, November 12, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 10:45 AM.
