Mae Rose Dartez

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Mae Rose Dartez, 71, who died Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Maison du Monde Living Center.  She will be laid to rest at Greene Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services.

She is survived by her two sons, Brent Dartez and his wife, Nila of Kaplan and Brenell Dartez and his wife, Theresa of Sabine Pass, TX; her daughter, Belinda and her husband, Tony Stelly of Meaux; her five sisters, Velta Darby of Abbeville, Judy Trahan of Abbeville, Charlene Lange of Erath, Betty Grand of Charlotte, NC, and Elaine Trahan of Lafayette; her seven grandchildren; and her three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Dartez; her two brothers, Rodney Trahan and Dua Trahan, Jr.; and her parents, Dua Trahan Sr. and the former Lovina Roche.

The family of Ms. Dartez would like to thank Lamm Hospice and the staff of Maison du Monde Living Center.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, December 21, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church.
