Mandy L. Hebert

June 9, 1968 — February 6, 2024

Kaplan—A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 25, 2024 at Saint Martin de Tours, 1800 Legion Park Drive in Kaplan, honoring the life of Mandy L. Hebert, 55, who died Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at her home. Reverend Farley Painter will be officiating the services.

Born with a green thumb and an innate connection to the earth, Mandy found such joy and purpose in working in her vegetable garden and in her yard. With unwavering dedication and tender care, she turned ordinary soil into a fruitful garden and haven of life.

From gardening to deep belly laughs, Mandy had such love for joyous moments and simple pleasures in life. A true artist at heart, she had an affinity for the color purple, infusing it into every corner of her life. As we mourn her loss, let us remember the vibrant spirit that thrived in the soil she tended, the blossoms she cherished, and the laughter and joy that resonates through her memory.

She is survived by two daughters, Crystal Roberts, and Racquelle Hebert; the father of her children, Anthony Hebert; one nephew, Gary Foster of Kaplan; one niece, Angelique Williams of Gueydan; 6 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, John Lyons of Erath; her sister, Celeste Foster of Kaplan; her sister, Sue Landry of Cow Island; her brother, Thurman Lyons of Forked Island; and her niece, Natasha Foster of Kaplan.

Visitation will be observed from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, with the prayer service beginning at 4:00 PM.
