Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Margaret Touchet Mouton, 92, who passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation surrounded by her family.  She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Ronald Gaspard, Jr., Quintin Simon, Jenues “Tee” Hargrave, Troy Mouton, Brock Theriot, and Ethan Gaspard. Honorary pallbearers will be Brendan Theriot, Lander Gaspard, and Jaque Hargrave.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Pelican Pointe Healthcare and Rehabilitation for the compassion they have shown the family in “Granny’s” final days. To all who loved and cared for her, the family will keep you in their prayers. May your lives be filled with the most gracious blessings.

She is survived by her three daughters, Emily Gaspard of Cow Island, Beverly and her husband, Dave Simon of Kaplan, and Margaret L. and her husband, Ronnie Hargrave of Liberty Farm; one brother, Cullen Touchet of Kaplan; 10 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Odelon Mouton; one grandson, Audie John Simon; three brothers, Joseph Touchet, Lovelis Touchet, and Valerine Touchet; three sisters, Edoile Bourgeois, Audrey Soileau, and Rita Touchet; and her parents, Alpha Touchet and the former Elita Lege.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Monday, January 20, 2020 from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM; Tuesday, January 21, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM.
