Marie Lollian Romero Broussard

Erath—Graveside services will be held Monday, June 1, 2020 at 11:00 am, at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Erath, honoring the life of Marie Lollian Broussard, 77, who passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at her residence. Pallbearers will be, Nelson Theriot, Jr., Marcus Broussard, Dexter Broussard, Shay Broussard, Rene Dartez, and Shawn Baras.

Marie had a passion for gardening, a love for animals, especially her pet Sunshine, and could not resist a good serving of crawfish.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Daniel Broussard; daughter, Karen Theriot and her husband Nelson; two sons, Marcus Broussard and his wife Lisa, and Dexter Broussard; eight grandchildren, Paul Desormeaux, Jr., of Erath, Aaron Broussard of Abbeville, Meghan Meltz and her husband Andrew of San Clemente, California, Shay Broussard and his Fiancé Ashlyn Suire of Erath, Jenee’ Broussard of Erath, Alaina Broussard of Abbeville, and Cameron Broussard of Abbeville; three great grandchildren, Amelia, Wren, and Rain; and a sister, Shirley Viator.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Olena Romero; brother, J.C Romero and a sister, Gloria Dean Veronie.
