Marilyn B. Broussard

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, September  3, 2021 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Marilyn B. Broussard, 79, who died Saturday, August 28, 2021.  She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Everett Broussard, Blaine Broussard, Brian Broussard, Kevin LeMaire, Ronnie Menard and Greg Menard. Honorary pallbearers will be Andrew Arceneaux, Terry LeMaire, Kaidin Arceneaux and Eric Gaspard.

She is survived by her three sons, Everett Broussard of Cow Island, Brian Broussard (Stacie Copell) and Blaine Broussard of Abbeville; her three grandchildren, Scott Broussard, Chelsea F. Arceneaux and Rilyn Brunley; her great grandchild, Kaidin Arceneaux; and her four sisters, Gloria Domingue (Jimmy) of Scott, Mary Trahan of Kaplan, Irene LeMaire of Gonzales and Lola Gaspard of Perry.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alcee “A.J.” Joseph Broussard, Jr.; one brother, Dallas Bertrand; and two sisters, Eula Dronet and Wilda Menard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 600 N. Church Avenue, on Friday, September  3, 2021 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at 12:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
