Marion Hartner Gooch

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church honoring the life of Marion Marie Hartner Gooch, 94, who passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at Memorial Hermann Hospital Northeast in Humble, Texas. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Rev. Charles M. Esuaiko officiating the services.

Honored to serve as pallbearers will be, Griffin York, Thomas Husband, Timmy Husband, Patrick Husband, Jack Witt & Jude LeBlanc.

She is survived by her two daughters, Carla R. Tucker (Michael) and Camillia M. Gooch (Eileen); two grandchildren, Amanda C. Ramirez and Jeremy M. Tucker (Laura); two great grandchildren, Addison C. Ramirez and Avery C. Ramirez; sister, Dorothea Husband and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was a devout Catholic, dedicated to her faith. She was the pillar of her family with her strong faith and family values. She loved reading, family vacations and gardening but her best joy was being “Maw-Maw”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl “Booster” Joseph Gooch; parents, Henry Hartner and the former Amy Baudoin; and sister, Germaine F. Cosper.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Saturday, October 15, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 12:45 PM when the procession will depart for the church. A rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
