Mrs. Hartwell was an extremely loving and caring woman who treated everybody with the utmost respect. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. She was known to always help others in need, including friends, family and strangers. She was very active in the community. She participated in Eastern Star and Gueydan Methodist, where she served on the board and sang in the choir. She was also employed at the Bank of Gueydan for 37 years, from 1962 – 1999, where she worked as a bilingual bank cashier. When she wasn’t out in the community, Mrs. Hartwell loved tending to her plants in her backyard, which she found very relaxing. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, who she absolutely adored.

Rogers, Colton Hartwell, Myka Hartwell, and Robin Hartwell; and five great grandchildren, Brylee Hargrave, Gunner Hargrave, Porter Rogers, Dallas Rogers, and Abigail Myers.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd G. Hartwell; parents, Henry Vincent and the former Olive Hebert; three sisters, Jeanette Fernandez, Lucille Guidry, and Hilda Istre; two brothers, Edward Vincent and Pete Vincent; and one daughter-in-law, Charlotte Venable.
