Mary Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Throughout her days on earth, she devoted herself to her family and to her passions.
In her earlier life, Mary Ann had a talent for sewing, creating beautiful garments and quilts that family and friends cherished. Her kitchen was filled with the aroma of her homemade tarts, which her family and friends will always remember as the best. Each summer, her pantry brimmed with jars of fruits and vegetables she canned from her garden.
In her quieter moments, she enjoyed the challenge of word puzzles, finding great satisfaction in solving them. She could often be found with a pencil in hand, fully immersed in the latest crossword or word search.
One of her greatest joys was playing bingo with her friends. The laughter and camaraderie they shared during those games were the highlights of her week. Her competitive spirit and good-natured humor made her a beloved figure in the bingo hall.
She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Broussard Gaspard; her son, Ken Broussard and his wife, Claudette; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and her brother, Wayne Trahan and his wife, Betty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Broussard; her parents, Freddie and Eve Trahan; her sister, Mae Grace Breaux; her brother, Albert Trahan; son-in-law, Daniel Gaspard; and her great granddaughter, Arissa Broussard.
Visiting hours will be observed at Vincent Funeral Home in Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Saturday, June 1, 2024 from 9:00 AM until services begin at 3:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 AM.
The family would like to thank Vermilion Health Care for their dedicated care and support.
