Mary Benoit Conner

Abbeville—Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville honoring the life of Mary Loula Benoit Conner, 95, who died Sunday, July 21, 2024.  She will be laid to rest at Graceland Cemetery with Pastor David Delino officiating the services.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother, Mary Loula Benoit Conner. She was born on March 3, 1929 in Gueydan, Louisiana. Despite humble beginnings, she lived a rich and fulfilling life that touched the hearts of all who knew her.

Mary was a woman of remarkable strength and resilience, overcoming adversity with grace and determination. Raised in difficult circumstances, she learned the value of hard work and perseverance at a young age. Despite the challenges she faced, she never lost her positive outlook on life and always found joy in the simple things.

Throughout her life, Mary remained a beacon of love and kindness to her family and friends. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her home was a place of warmth and hospitality, where all were welcomed with open arms and a comforting smile. Her wisdom was a guiding light for those around her.

As we say goodbye to our mother and grandmother, we take comfort in knowing that she lived a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Her legacy of strength, resilience, and kindness will continue to inspire us for generations to come.

She leaves behind three children, Carlton Delino and his wife, Lorene of Sulphur, LA, Linda Wright and her husband, Charles of Abbeville, LA, and Cindy Holmes and her husband, Richard of Broaddus, TX; she leaves behind her five stepchildren, Rita (Ernal) Broussard, JoAnn (Robie) Meaux, Wayne (Kathy) Conner, Linda (Mike) Conner, and Glenn (Vickie) Conner; she was blessed with six grandchildren, Vickie Wynn, Timothy Coon, Nathan Delino, Sean Holmes, Tanya Coon, and Robie Holmes; as well as, step-grandchildren; and  numerous great and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Adonis Conner, Willis Bodin and Murphy Delino; parents, Wallace Benoit and the former Edolia Schexnider; and brother, Reno Benoit.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 9:00 AM until time of services.
