Mary Linda Grace Brailey

June 26, 1951 — January 25, 2021

Abbeville—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Catholic Church honoring the life of Mary Linda Grace Brailey, 69, who died Monday, January 25, 2021 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. François Sainte-Marie officiating the services.  Active pallbearers will be Roland Brailey Jr., Lawrence Brailey, Ryan Charlot, Alton Hall Jr., Garland Bolden, and Demond Declouette.

She is survived by her husband, Roland Brailey Sr.; two sons, Roland Brailey Jr. and his fiancée Shyla of Maurice, and Lawrence Brailey and his wife Desiree of Maurice; one daughter, Katina Charlot and her husband Ryan of Abbeville; eight grandchildren, T'zhae Brailey, Kyrah Brailey, Zyhri Bessard, Breionnee Brailey, Mali'jha Brailey, Ayden Brailey, Kylen Brailey and Landyn Brailey; one great grandchild, Tai'zhen LeBlanc; two brothers, Floyd Boutte and his wife Jenny of Houston, TX, and Kelly Boutte and his wife Leanne of Houston, TX; four sisters. Laura Boutte of Abbeville, Rose Mary Walker of Lake Charles, Lilly Mae Stewart of Houston, TX, and Barbara Boutte of Houston, TX; and godchildren Craig Levine, Donald Citizen, Jonathan Walker Sr., April Levine, Jeremey Briggs, Charlette Green, Jasmine Washington, and Marshall Wilbert.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elridge Boutte and the former Amy Meche; sister, Patricia Monroe; and brother, John Boutte.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 8:30 AM until 10:45 AM when the procession will depart for the church.

The family would like to sincerely thank the patriarch, Mr. Roland Brailey, Sr. for the love, dedication, compassion and special care that was given to his wife throughout the course of their marriage. Words cannot express the gratitude and thanks that we feel. Continue to look upon the hills from which our help comes from and allow God to bless, comfort and strengthen you while bringing you peace.
