Mary Lou Marceaux Dartez

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Mary Lou Marceaux Dartez, 79, who died Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Eastridge Nursing Center. She will be laid to rest at Kaplan Cemetery with Reverend Mark Miley officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Dartez, Jr., Raymond Dartez, III, Kersey Trahan, II, Kirby Trahan, Jr., Christopher Abshire, and Shawn Lavalley.

She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Raymond Dartez, Sr.; her son, Raymond Dartez, Jr. of New Iberia; her daughter, Barbara Dartez Trahan of Kaplan; three sisters, Joyce Menard of Kaplan, Mary Audrey Vincent of Kaplan, and Maudrey Vincent of Kaplan; nine grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilson Marceaux and the former Unia LaPointe; two sisters, Shirley Rose Marceaux and Velma Cormier; and her daughter-in-law, Beverly Dartez.

The Dartez family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Eastridge Nursing Home and Hospice of Acadiana.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 8:00 AM until the services.
