Maudrey Menard

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Maudrey Marie Menard, 97, who died Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at Abrom Kaplan Memorial Hospital. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon Bryan Istre officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Scotty Sonnier, Jordan Sonnier, Shannon Menard, Gerit Menard, Brig Menard and Jeremy Rowe. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyler Menard and Trae Case.

She is survived by her son, Shelley Menard of Abbeville; one daughter, Rose Sonnier and her husband, Kenneth of Kaplan; five grandchildren, Tracey Sonnier Rowe and her husband, Jeremy of Kaplan, Scotty Sonnier and his wife, Melissa of Cedar Park, TX, Shannon Menard and his wife, Lana of Cow Island, Gerit Menard and his wife, Leah of Erath and Brig Menard of Cow Island; five great grandchildren, Jordan Sonnier and his companion, Tia Guidry of Kaplan, Lindsey and Abby Schexnailder of Kaplan, Tyler and Lainey Menard of Cow Island; three step-great grandchildren, Zack and Lauren Robicheaux of New Iberia and Rylee Rowe of Oklahoma; two great-great grandchildren, Braden and Braxen Sonnier of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Polinaire Menard and the former Bernadette Schexnayder; five sisters, Mazie Guidry, Mae Dora Guidry, Mabel Scherer, Laura Dubois and Annie Hebert; and three brothers, Edward, Oris "San" and Dennis Menard.

The family would like to thank the staff, especially the nurses at Kaplan Healthcare Center for their care and compassion.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, March  3, 2022 from 9:00 AM until the services at 3:00 PM. A rosary will be prayed at 11:00 AM.
