Maurice—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Melanie Maria Broussard, 57, who died Sunday, May 27, 2018 at her residence. She will be laid to rest at Leroy Community Cemetery with Reverend Emmanuel Fernandez officiating the services. Pallbearers will be David James Broussard, Ryan Mathers, Craig Roper, Lane Lonion, Zack Mathiew, Kyle Savant and Cade Savant.

Melanie is survived by her husband, David "Brent" Broussard; son, Timothy Robert Hebert; two step children, David James Broussard and Tiffany Lynn Quave; parents, Joseph Clyve Broussard and the former Elaine Simon; sisters, Sheilah Reed, Johnette Renton, Francine Mathiew and Simone Broussard; grandchild, Liam Timothy Robert Hebert; step grandchildren, David Troy Broussard, Sierra Elizabeth Broussard, Zyla Jane Comer, Roman Quave, Lucy Jean Broussard, and a future step grandchild, David Joseph Broussard.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Wednesday, May 30, 2018 from 8:00 AM until 12:30 when the procession will depart for the church.
