Noamie M. Simon

October 11, 1923 — April 13, 2024

Kaplan—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 19, 2024 at St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Catholic Church honoring the life of Noamie M. Simon, 100, who died Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Kaplan Healthcare Center. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Irudayasamy officiating the services.

From a young age, Noamie was her happiest when she was outdoors. Growing up, her family gardened and lived off the land, and Noamie continued to do so throughout her life. Working in her flower and vegetable gardens brought her immense joy.

In addition to her passion for gardening, she lived by the adage “you are what you eat,” maintaining a lifestyle filled with healthy, wholesome foods. Her kitchen was a sanctuary of nourishment, where she transformed the fruits of her garden into delicious meals that nourished her body and soul.

Beyond her green thumb, Noamie was cherished for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering spirit. She touched the lives of many with her kindness and genuine nature.

She is survived by her daughter, Marie Elaine LeBeouf and her husband, Douglas Jr. of Kaplan; four grandchildren, Brett LeBeouf and his wife, Laura of Kaplan, Sonya Langlinais and her husband, Kevin of Kaplan, Kelly Breaux of Kaplan, and Blake LeBeouf and his wife, Chandra of Houston; eight great-grandchildren, Skyla Herpin, Mia Hardy, Brittany LeBeouf, Lance LeBeouf, Lexi Breaux, Mitchell Herpin, Gabriel LeBeouf, and Jase Breaux; and four great-great-grandchildren, Averi Williams, William Joseph Hardy, James David Hardy, and Ellie Clare Leonard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbe J. Simon; one brother, Chin Mathiew; two sisters, Eunice LeBlanc and Eliza Mathiew Boult.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Friday, April 19, 2024 from 9:00 AM until the procession departs for church at 12:45 PM with a rosary being prayed at 10:30 AM.
