Nona Belle Marie Trahan Prejean

Cow Island—A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2020 at St. Anne Catholic Church honoring the life of Nona Belle Marie Trahan Prejean, 91, who died Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at her residence.  She will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Matthew Barzare officiating the services with Reverend Keith Landry concelebrating. Serving as pallbearers will be Coy Prejean, Calob Leindecker, Cobin Leindecker, Randy Leindecker, Mitch Parrott, and Jamey Guidry.

Nona Belle Prejean was a hairdresser and then a dedicated inspector for the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology for many years. She met many people through her job and was recognized nearly everywhere she went.

She is survived by two children, Danny Prejean and Becky Prejean; one brother, Earl Trahan; six grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; thirteen great grandchildren; three step-great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; and one step-great-great grand-child.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, TJ Prejean, Jr. and one son, Glynwood Prejean.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, July  9, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 7:00 PM; Friday, July 10, 2020 from 8:00 AM until the procession departs for the church at 12:30 PM.
