Kaplan - A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Reverend Stephen Sahayaraj Irudayasamy will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 12, 2024 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church honoring the life of Patricia Richard, 83, who passed away on October 9, 2024 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Reverend Glenn Meaux will be concelebrating. Burial will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery.

A visitation will take place at Vincent Funeral Home on Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 12:45 PM when the procession departs for the church. A rosary will be prayed at 11:30 AM.

She is survived by her daughter, Pauline Richard Greene of Lafayette; son, Martin C. Richard (Kimberly Jeffries Richard); grandchildren, Lauren Claire Greene of New Orleans, Jenny Lynn Richard (Mike Carter) of Lake Charles, and Averie Jolie Richard of Lake Charles, Kagnie Leday (Khaled Matarneh) of Baton Rouge; and great grandchildren, Khiri and Kai Leday of Baton Rouge.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Donald Richard; parents, Dallas and Pearl Simon; sibling, Bonnie Simon Broussard, Ted Reed Simon, and Ann Simon Vincent; nephews, Justin Duhon and Colby Broussard.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Resthaven Nursing Home and Rehab Center and the intensive care doctors and nurses at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital, Jason Aymond and Mark Boudreaux at Aymond Mortuary Support, and George King and Allen Charles for their kindness and support.
