Paul Jessie Bourque

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Paul Jessie Bourque, 89, who died Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Calcutta House. He will be laid to rest at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery with Deacon Bryan Istre officiating the services. Jessie was a lifelong resident of Kaplan, spending 40 years as a farmer and retiring after 25 years with Chevron. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Aucoin and her husband, Keith; his son, Paul “Craig” Bourque and his wife, Amanda; his grandchildren, Connor Bourque (Emily), Courtney Bergeaux (Jacob) and Kayla Smythe (Kristopher); his great grandchildren, Cooper Bourque, Amelia Bourque, Kaden Smythe and Kinsley Smythe; his great grandson, Klayton Smythe due in August; his brother, Holloway Bourque, Jr.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Mary Flodry Bourque; his parents, Ernest Holloway Bourque and the former Leonie Faulk; and sister, Mary Bernice Rougeau. The family would like to extend special thanks to Lisa Hardy and Calcutta House’s staff and nurses for all of their care and compassion. The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM until the time of the services at 10:00 AM.
