Paul "Jimesy" Guidry

Kaplan—Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan honoring the life of Paul "Jimesy" Guidry, 69, who died Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at his residence.  He will be laid to rest at St. Anne Cemetery with Reverend Stephen Sahayaraj Irudayasamy officiating the services. Serving as pallbearers will be Leon Touchet, Donald Paul Vincent, Frank Guidry, Emery Guidry, Kevin Guidry and John Wayne Guidry. Honorary pallbearers will be Steven Guidry and Danny Guidry.

He is survived by five sisters, Betty Ann Guidry of Forked Island, Jessica Marie Guidry of Kaplan, Maklyn Faye Guidry Istre of Esterwood, Patricia Ann Guidry Vincent of Gueydan and Rebecca Ann Guidry Touchet of Gueydan; two brothers, Wilfred Guidry of Kaplan, John Guidry, Sr. of Kaplan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilfred “Boy Boy” Guidry and the former Isabell Augustine Henry; and her five sisters, Sherry Baudoin, Margret Guidry Touchet, Mary Ida Touchet, Carol Guidry Harrington and Alvilla Guidry Henry.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Kaplan, 300 N. Eleazar Ave., on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM with a rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM; Friday, December 22, 2023 from 8:00 AM until the services at 10:00 AM.
